Hi I'm Courtney!
I grew up on horseback, and the western way of life has been part of my family for generations. Along the way, I discovered photography, a passion that gave me a way to capture the moments that deserve to be remembered.
I still remember admiring Mum’s old camcorder and camera before I finally saved enough to buy my own at 13. From then on, whenever I had the chance, I’d have a camera in hand—capturing the everyday moments around me, convincing my younger brother to model the western lifestyle, or sneaking out before daybreak to photograph livestock and wildlife as the sun rose. Every year, I’d enter some of my favourite images into the local show, and I still remember the excitement of seeing them displayed in the exhibition hall.
Although life has taken me in many different directions, my love for photography has never faded. I’ve always had a camera close by and a hard drive full of memories collected over the years. Today, I’m fortunate to combine that lifelong passion with the western and country lifestyle I’ve always known.
As a horsewoman and competitor, I understand rodeo because it’s the life I live. That connection helps me recognise the moments that matter—from the adrenaline of the arena to the emotion after a run and the quieter moments behind the scenes. But my love for this lifestyle goes beyond rodeo. I enjoy photographing the people, horses, animals, places and events that make western, country and rural life so special.
Whether you’re competing in the arena, taking part in a horse event, organising a country festival, running a rural business, or simply wanting some photographs of your own, I hope to create images you’ll enjoy looking back on for years to come.
Based in Woodford, Queensland, and happy to travel wherever the story takes me.
Let’s tell your story together.
